Academics > Kindergarten Bible As a Christian school, not only is Bible a separate class, but our teachers integrate Biblical truths in every subject. In kindergarten, students are introduced to Bible truths that will enable them to understand God’s Word and be motivated toward obedience from the heart. Computer This course is designed to introduce students to the use of computers through hands-on experiences. Students become familiar with the basic operation of the computer and the use of skill reinforcement programs. Math Text: Number Skills This course will introduce and reinforce number concepts and formation through 100, simple addition and subtraction combinations, telling time, number sequences, number words, and working with money. Phonics Text: Letters and Sounds K The course is designed to teach students the vowel and consonant sounds, blends, one- and two-vowel words, words with special sounds, and sentence comprehension. Students are instructed using the phonics approach to reading. Reading Reading is practiced for application of skills taught in Phonics Class. Students receive a set of twelve reading books to help with the development of phonetic skills and sight word recognition. Science Text: God’s World In this course, students learn about God’s plan for seeds, animals, the seashore, health, weather, and seasons. Social Studies Text: Social Studies K In this course, students learn about community helpers, America - our great country, and children of ten different countries. Handwriting Text: Handwriting This course teaches student how to write the letters as they learn what sound the letters say. Students will write letters, blends, words, and sentences.
