Keep Your Classmates Up to Date
We’d love to keep your former
classmates updated on your news. Please send information (and
pictures) about any of the following: weddings, babies, graduations,
ministry news, reunions, and military status. Let’s rejoice together
over good news as well as pray together when our alumni family is in
need.
Awards
Morgan
Rognstad Named AP Scholar
Morgan
Rognstad, Class of 2006, has earned the designation of AP Scholar by
the College Board in recognition of her exceptional
achievement in
the college-level Advanced Placement Program. In order to earn this
distinction, students must score a 3 or higher on at least 3 AP
exams. Only 18 percent of the more than one million high school
students performed at a sufficiently high level to merit the
recognition of AP Scholar last year worldwide. Most of the nation’s
colleges and universities award credit, advanced placement, or both
based on successful performance on the AP exams. Morgan took
Advanced Placement classes in English, United States History, and
biology as a student at Northside Christian Academy. We are proud of
her record of excellence and of her achievement of earning college
credit for work that she completed as a student here at Northside
Christian Academy.

Recent Events
What a blast we had at the 2007 Alumni
Basketball Game. The rain did not stop over 20 alumni from coming
out and enjoying an afternoon of fun, food and fellowship. The older
alumni competed against the younger alumni in a game never to
forget. It was close for a while but with a few 3 point shots the
younger guys were victorious. Mr. Skinner was on hand to give the
alumni some much needed comic relief. Thanks Mr. Skinner for keeping
them on their toes. Thanks also to Mrs. Tate for some wonderful
snacks after the game. We can’t wait to see what is in store for
next year’s game.

If you have any suggestions on future alumni
events do not hesitate to email or call.

Military
Updates
First Lieutenant John Zaal, Marine Corps, is now at
Camp Pendleton near San Diego, CA preparing his unit for their next
deployment in April, 2007. As many of you may recall, John was
injured in Iraq around a year ago. He still has some shrapnel in his
body, which was purposely left as it would have caused more damage
than to just leave it alone. He has no physical side effects in the
use of his body and you would never know he had been injured to see
him in public. God is gracious and good! John's family is
appreciative of all the prayers for him. He is respected not only by
his subordinates but his superiors as well!
