NCA will observe "Spirit Week" beginning on Monday,
September 17, and concluding with "Homecoming" activities on Friday,
September 21. This year's spirit week theme is: "Wipe the Blues Away."
The Knights will take on the Asheville School Blues at 7:30 p.m. on
Friday, September 21. The team plans to "wipe the Blues away." Each day
during the week has been designated in keeping with the spirit week
theme. Students are encouraged to dress each day according to the
designated theme in keeping with the dress code guidelines below.
Wipe
the Blues Away
Students participating in the Spirit Week theme days may wear casual
(non-uniform) clothes on each day of Spirit Week. The clothes should
coordinate with the designated theme for the day, be appropriate for
school, and conform to our dress code with regard to length (no shorts
for junior high and senior high – capris okay for girls), modesty, and
not fitting too tight. Students may not wear slacks with holes.
Students may not wear shorts or boxers on the outside of pants.
Students may not wear pajamas, or any top that is sleeveless.
Non-uniform jackets may be worn in the classroom if the jacket
coordinates with the theme wear for the day.
Monday –
Tacky Day-
Students should wear the “tackiest” clothes they can find in accordance
with our dress code with regard to length (no shorts for junior high and
senior high), modesty, and not fitting too tight.
Tuesday
– Decade Day
– Students should wear clothes from their favorite decade (50s, 60s, 70s,
80s, or 90s).
Wednesday
– Inside Out Day – Students may wear their favorite casual
clothes, just inside out. The clothing choice must conform to our dress
code with regard to length (no shorts for junior high and senior high),
modesty, and not fitting too tight. Students may not wear pajamas, or any
top that is sleeveless.
Thursday
– Whatever is not blue day – NCA plans to “wipe away” the
Asheville School Blues on Friday night; therefore, students may wear
their favorite casual clothes, but nothing blue. The
clothing choice must conform to our dress code with regard to length (JH
& SH knee-length shorts approved for boys and girls on this day, and
girls may continue to wear capris), modesty, and not fitting too
tight. Students may not wear pajamas, or any top that is sleeveless.
Friday
– Red and White Day – Students should wear school apparel
items with the school’s logo or mascot, or wear red and white colored
clothing to demonstrate their school spirit. Face Painting okay on
this day for junior and senior high.

Rally (JH & SH Attending) = Friday, Sept. 21, 1:30 p.m.
Homecoming Parade Game = Friday, Sept. 21, 6:45 p.m.
Football Game Kick-off = Friday, Sept. 21, 7:30 p.m.
