Northside Child Care and Academy
for Early Learning is known throughout the University area for our
outstanding Christian Academics.
Our Infant and One’s department focus on each child’s development
through daily experiences and relations with their caregiver.
Activities are geared towards fun and learning. Daily stories,
finger-plays, hands on activities, and outdoor time help develop the
whole child.
Our Two Year Old department is full of fun hands on activities,
daily Bible, playground time, and learning centers. During this
stage of development we introduce the Abeka Curriculum. The Abeka
Curriculum focuses on Bible, letters, numbers, character
development, and arts/crafts. The combination of structured teacher
directed activities and child selected learning centers allow
teachers to prepare their students for preschool while also allowing
them to enjoy being two.
The Academy for Early Learning is comprised of our three and four
year old students. Each department uses the Abeka Curriculum that is
tailored made for each age group. The Abeka Curriculum has a
wonderful reputation for developing children spiritually and
academically. Daily Bible, readiness skills, letters/phonics,
numbers, language development and enrichment programs are a large
part our day. Though our mornings and early afternoons are
challenging structured learning, the children’s afternoons are full
of fun! Afternoons are spent playing outdoors in our beautiful
Majestic Forest. There is also plenty of time for indoor learning
centers.
